The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) reports that 1 in 5 Americans are living with mental health issues right now. Stigmatization and a lack of resources, inclusivity, and cultural competency among providers create significant barriers to care. These barriers disproportionately affect people of color, the working class, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Get Out Alive promotes meaningful conversation and substantial change. Through Art.
